The instructions for uninstalling the LastPass web browser extension will vary, depending on your web browser and operating system.

To uninstall LastPass from your web browser, use one of the following procedures depending on your chosen web browser:To uninstall LastPass web browser extension

Do this
Google Chrome	Right-click on the active LastPass icon in your Chrome toolbar. Click Remove from Chrome. Click Remove to confirm.
FireFox	Go to Firefox > Tools > Add-ons > Extensions > Remove.
Safari for Mac	Go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions > LastPass > Uninstall. Click Uninstall to confirm.
Safari app extension for Mac	Quit Safari. Quit the LastPass Safari app extension app. Once both are closed, go to your Applications folder. Click and drag the LastPass App icon into the Trash.
Safari for Windows	Go to Safari > Edit > Preferences > Extensions > LastPass > Uninstall. Click Uninstall to confirm.
Opera	Right-click on the LastPass icon in your Opera toolbar. Click Remove from Opera. Click Remove to confirm.
Internet Explorer	Note: Uninstalling LastPass using these instructions will also uninstall LastPass for all web browsers on your computer. Close all web browsers. Go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Right click LastPass > Uninstall. Click Yes to confirm.

Uninstall the LastPass for Windows Desktop application

Note: The instructions for uninstalling the LastPass for Applications (i.e., LastApp) for Windows will vary depending on your operating system.

To uninstall the LastPass for Windows Desktop application, do the following:

Go to Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Right click LastPass for Applications > Uninstall.
Click Yes to confirm.
You have uninstalled the LastPass for Windows Desktop application.

Uninstall the LastPass Mac App

To uninstall the LastPass Mac App, do the following:

Quit the LastPass Mac App.
Go to Finder > Applications.
Click on the LastPass Mac App and drag it into the Trash.

Use the LastPass Mac App

The LastPass App for Mac allows you to view, edit, and manage your Vault directly from your desktop from a standalone application, while still giving you a streamlined access to launching your sites into the Safari web browser for an automatic login.

Note: Safari is the default web browser that is used when launching site entries via the LastPass Mac App, and this default setting cannot be changed to allow use of another default web browser.

Install and log in

You can download and install the LastPass Mac App, then launch it and log in.

Tip:

If you are a LastPass Enterprise or Identity admin, please see Install LastPass Software Using the Admin Console.

Download and install the LastPass Mac app from LastPass at https://lastpass.com/misc_download2.php#app-for-mac.
Once installed, click Open launch it.
Enter your username and Master Password, then click Log In.
You have installed and logged in to the LastPass Mac App, and your Vault is now displayed.
