Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding perk. To rescue survivors, you must keep them safe and complete the campaign with them in your party. You can do this basically anywhere in the game if you have a gun and some ammo. The earliest chance to do this is in the first area of the game, Cabot Ridge. After the opening cutscene, you will be told to collect some fuel, and on the way you can grab a rifle. Kill all walkers, except for one, and shoot its leg. After a few shots, the walker will fall down to the ground. While it is falling, quickly shoot its head. The kill must be done while the walker is falling, not after it starts crawling, to get the 'Have A Nice Trip!' achievement.

Once Daryl obtains the crossbow, find a walker that is not paying attention, and shoot him in the calf. It should hit his knee, and you will get the 'I Used To Be A Human Like You' achievement.
